FROM US 64 EAST
Turn onto Highway 12 South. Follow Highway 12 for 70 miles to the Hatteras Ferry. It will be a 40-minute ferry ride to Ocracoke Island. When you depart the ferry, follow Highway 12 for 15 miles to Ocracoke Village. Turn right onto Back Road. We are on the left.
FROM I-40 EAST
Take Exit 306 onto US 70 E. Stay on US 70 for 140 miles until you come to Highway 12 North. That will take you to the Cedar Island Ferry. After a 2-hour and 15-minute ferry ride to Ocracoke, you will follow Highway 12 around the harbor and turn right onto Back Road. We are on the left.
FROM US 264 EAST
In Swan Quarter, follow signs to ferry. After a 2-hour and 45-minute ferry ride, you will follow Highway 12 around the harbor and turn right onto Back Road. We are on the left.

The Hatteras-Ocracoke Ferry is free and runs often, the crossing time is about 1 hour. The Cedar Island-Ocracoke Ferry is a Toll Ferry. The crossing time is about 2 hours and 15 minutes. The Swan Quarter-Ocracoke Ferry is a Toll Ferry. The crossing time is about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Reservations are recommended for the Toll Ferries to insure you are not delayed in boarding. These reservations must be claimed at least 30 minutes prior to departure time. It is also good practice to make your reservations a week in advance during the prime vacationing season.
